wood Flooring Cleaning
Cleaning your wood floor
Hardwood floors are stylish and alluring, and a great investment in your home. A shining wood floor also looks glamorous and is a mark of good living.
But whilst wood floors are beautiful, they can be difficult to maintain. They are prone to scuff marks, which can be very unsightly. Just as important, remember that liquids are the natural enemy of a wood floor so any accidental spills can be extremely hard to remove.
Fighting grime
Grime also builds up easily on any floor that experiences a high level of foot traffic. If you entertain at home, or if you have children, at the very least you should sweep your floor with a soft broom and then vacuum it at least once a week.
This will remove dirt and grit from the floor (which are your biggest enemies, because they leave scratches and nicks on the finish). Water should never be used on wood floors, except those treated with polyurethane (they can be damp-mopped).
Any hardwood floor requires proper care and regular maintenance to keep it beautiful. This translates into a fair amount of cleaning, which is best carried out by professionals who know exactly how to keep your floor in tip-top condition.
